Portrait Session

I went on a portraiture evening last night with three others from the camera club I attend. It was my first time and whilst highly nervous managed to get a dozen or so I quite liked. Here are some of my efforts....

A Walk With The Dog

Hi,

It's been some time since my last post. I have not managed to do much photography recently as I have been in the process of moving house.

I have moved to a more rural location which has plenty of nice walks with the dog. Here are some shots I took with my small pocket Lumix camera (not wanting to lug the SLR on a dog walk).

Hope you like them.

Regards,

Rob.

Toolshed Flowers

Whilst on holiday I visited the "Lost Gardens of Heligan" in Cornwall. It was a lovely place. I noticed these flowers in the toolshed and liked the way the light fell on them.

Thistle

Rain, rain and yet more rain.....I haven't seen a summer like it for a long time.

Anyway, I have been watching the progress of a thistle growing in my "in-laws" garden for a few weeks now. So on Sunday I finally "nicked" one of the heads and had a pleasant hour giving it the macro treatment.

Here's my favourite shot..

Shell Macro

So far the summer has been lousy, so once again I was relegated to the Kitchen with a Macro Lens.

I decided to take some shots of some shells that the wife has in a bowl in the bathroom.

Here's my favourite.

Pin-Hole

I got this pin-hole technique from Practical Photography magazine and did what they said in Photoshop.

Compare it to the shot below and see which you prefer. They are the same photo.

Ilam Hall

Got chance to go on a walk with the family around Ilam in the Peak District. Lugged all my kit around the walk and only used the camera with my 28mm to 105mm lens!!

Anyway I got a couple of shots I liked.

Lake District

I went to the lake district in the UK for a wedding last weekend. The weather was not kind (never is! that's why there's a lot of lakes there!!) and photography was not the main aim.

Anyway got this shot of the Bridge House in Ambleside. It is the smallest house in the UK and now owned by the National Trust.

Switched To Blogger

Hi,

I have switched to blogger as my previous blog on blogsource has been switched over to livedigital and I don't like some of the functionality / layout.

So here I am!!

I will be catching up some of my previous posts / images over the next few weeks so I don't have to build up from scratch totally.

See you around,

Rob.

Mow Cop

I went some while ago to this folly with my Brother In Law to get some shots.

It is on the Staffordshire / Cheshire border and is called "Mow Cop". It was built as a summer house for a local landowner and now belongs to the National Trust.

Hope you like the shot.
